Novarra Awarded “Most Innovative Carrier Infrastructure/VAS Platform”
by GSMA at the Mobile Innovation Grand Prix EMEA Tournament

Industry experts choose Novarra VisionTM widget solution

Chicago, IL, USA - July 1, 2009 - Novarra’s widget and mobile content delivery framework has been recognized by the GSMA as the “Most Innovative Value Added Service (VAS) Platform” in the EMEA leg of its 2010 Mobile Innovation Grand Prix competition. A panel of industry experts selected Novarra based upon market potential, cost efficiency and ease of integration for the solution.

Novarra’s widget solution is built upon the company’s core mobile internet platform and browser which removes barriers faced by the mobile industry in deploying rich internet services to drive everyday usage and data revenue. Widgets can be published once and delivered with a consistent experience to handsets of many capabilities, even those without a native widget runtime environment, thus overcoming fragmentation challenges and ensuring mass-market reach.

“We are very excited to receive this validation from the mobile industry,” comments Randy Cavaiani, vice president, marketing. “Novarra’s customers recognize the value in offering the richest mobile internet experience possible across all devices - from smartphones to feature phones to emerging market handsets. Just like the Vision browser and mobile internet platform, our widget solution demonstrates Novarra’s innovation in delivering the full web to the broadest audience.”

“The judges faced a difficult decision this year with many high-quality entries for the EMEA leg of the 2010 Mobile Innovation Grand Prix competition,” said Andy McGuire, Vice President, Mobile Innovation at the GSMA. “However, Novarra made a strong impression on our judges and were awarded their category based on the sound business and technology benefits of their solution.”
